Book Donations

Sabre’s international Book Donation Program has continued to expand in size and scope. The book program owes much of its success in 2000 to growing cooperation with established partner organizations, such as the record six shipments sent to Ghanaian partner the Ghana Book Trust, as well as the addition of new partners such as the Austria-based World University Service in Bosnia & Herzegovina and Kosovo. ...more

Internet Training Workshops

Sabre’s efforts to make Internet training available to individuals and groups from developing and transitional societies have achieved impressive results this year. Sabre has already trained more people in 2000 than it has in any previous year. Importantly, Sabre’s increased focus on training individuals who will go on to train others, as exemplified by the Kenya "Training of Trainers" workshop in July, extends the potential impact of this program far beyond those able to attend a Sabre workshop themselves. ...more
