Alan L. Luchs is a partner in Ernst and Young's Global Technology, Communications and Entertainment Group and is responsible for the firm's media and entertainment tax practice. His extensive experience encompasses all sectors of the media and entertainment industry, including book, newspaper, magazine and journal publishing, film and entertainment, broadcasting and professional sports, new media and internet companies. He advises numerous multinational companies and financial buyers, public and private, in a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, structuring and divestitures, IPO planning, international tax planning, accounting methodologies, inventory consulting and accounting for income taxes. Alan has been a guest lecturer of the New York State Society of CPA's Publishing Industry Conference, Association of American Publishers Tax Committee, Fulcrum's Conference on Mergers and Acquisitions for Book Publishers and the Publisher's Financial Roundtable. He is a member of the Association of American Publishers, Magazine Publishers of America and Publisher's Financial Roundtable.

Alan earned his JD degree from Brooklyn Law School after graduating from Binghamton University with a BS in Accounting.
